Good Morning!

There are lots of books. There are webinars. There are seminars. There is your mother and your mother-in-law. There are your friends. There are even strangers that will tell you how to raise your child. They are all well meaning and for the most part really do want to help. And it is very easy, especially for a new mom, to want to take everyone’s advice. To be a little uncertain and feel as if everyone knows more than you do.

STOP! Don’t get caught in that trap. Should you read books, attend webinars and seminars, and listen to all of the people you know and some that you don’t. Of course. Should you do everything that they tell you. Of course NOT.

You are truly unique and so is your child and your family. No one knows your child as well as you do and there is definitely not one way to parent all children. Each family will have their own individual way of parenting that will work for them and only them. There might be similarities among families, but just like snowflakes, no two will be exactly alike.

So…take Oscar Wilde’s advice and “Be Yourself”. Be confident and know in your heart that you are doing the right thing for your child and your family.
